Lil Rick Wedding

On Saturday Caragh Smith and Ricardo (Lil Rick) Reid “tied the knot” at Golden Grove. More picture of the garden wedding of the Reids to come!

The wedding ceremony of popular calypsonian Rickey ‘Lil Rick’ Reid and his fiancée Caragh Smith took place on Saturday at the Golden Grove Plantation in St. Philip.

The couple got engaged in January, when Lil Rick proposed to Smith at her birthday party.

The bride was regal in her lace gown with a jewelled head-piece which was mirrored by her mini bride, the couple’s, daughter Rickara Reid. She was accompanied down the aisle by her brother and other half of the Hypa Kids duo, Rinicko. Also included in the wedding procession were Lil Rick’s older children Marika who was a bridesmaid and Rene who acted as his father’s best man.

The groom, who was bedecked in the black and white theme of the wedding, was in a jovial mood throughout the ceremony, at one point listing his numerous stage names when asked to state his legal name.

Though rain seemed to threaten, the couple enjoyed a beautiful garden ceremony which was attended by many from the entertainment fraternity, including Reid’s colleagues from Pyramid Entertainment.

The guests were later treated to performances at the reception by Porgie, Blood and reigning Party Monarch Champion Peter Ram.
